An open jaw flight is similar to a round trip airline ticket which provides the traveler a return flight from a different city than he or she flew into.
For example, someone could fly from Berlin to New York, and then from Washington back to Berlin. Or, someone could fly from Berlin to New York, and then from Washington to Munich.

Open-jaw tickets are almost always less expensive than purchasing two one-way flights between the destinations visited.
